Matthew's Gospel - Chapter Thirteen
Keep working on learning where to look for different things in Matthew's Gospel. In chapter twelve, Jesus clashes with the Pharisees concerning the Law and his character as greater than the Law.

What is the point of using parables in teaching? Consider this question especially in terms of the seven parables in Matthew 13.
How does the difference between a secret and a mystery help you understand Jesus' parables?
As you read the parables, after reading Jesus' explanation of the parable of the sower, try to prepare a similar explanation of other parables.
(As you prepare for this discussion, consider whether Albrecht's interpretation is correct. On a number of points I would respectfully disagree with his understanding of the parables. You might also.)
