What are some possible purposes of the transfiguration of Christ? Why do you think that ?
Jesus had earlier given his apostles authority to heal the sick and cast out demons. Why were they unable to deal with the man's son brought to them?
In chapter 17, Jesus again predicts his arrest and execution. Consider reasons that the disciples wouldn't believe or remember these predictions when the events actually happened.
