Keep working on learning where to look for different things in Matthew's Gospel. In chapter eleven, John the Baptist inquires about Jesus, Jesus describes John the Baptist as Elijah, then condemns cities which didn't receive him.
Write down at least three questions you hope will be answered. As always, I urge you to post them in the comments of this blog post, and to engage with other people's questions yourself!
Read Albrecht's commentary on Matthew, pages 172-188.

Questions for Study and Discussion:
Based on Matthew 12:1-13, how should we understand Jesus' relationship with God's Law? What is Jesus' desire in his interactions?
Compare Matthew 12:15-21 with the quotation from Isaiah 42:1-4 in its context. What priorities do we find?
The Pharisees were a group which took holiness and obedience to God's Law very seriously. Why were they so opposed to what Jesus was doing? What does Jesus' response to them say about his priorities?
Why would the Pharisees ask Jesus to do more miracles? Is there some sort of parallel in our modern culture?
In Matthew 12:46-50, who is part of Jesus' family? Are you?
