§ 141. Variations of the Apostles’ Creed.
In this section, Schaff presents a comparative table showing the Greek and Latin texts of the Apostles’ Creed at different times, also showing allusions and expansions in the rules of faith and in the Nicene Creed (Schaff 2014, Loc. 19148). Schaff helpfully provides the approximate dates of the various manuscripts. Unfortunately, in the electronic edition, the parameters of the table are not very clear. However, the texts are dated from about 170 through the Council of Chalcedon in 381. This would be a very interesting chart if it were adequately organized.
