J.P. asked a great question right at the end of the session. In light of our reading from Ephesians and the role of Christian leaders and Scripture bringing people to unity in the Christian faith, how can denominations be brought together in the truth? A great question which people have been wrestling with for more than 1700 years of divisions. Let's kick some ideas around.

Greetings! My name is John Paul and I am a member and Licentiate in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. I am very interested in how you go about working toward unity in the church universal, especially without compromise of the truth! I think this is primarily done by searching the scriptures together while also extending the hand of fellowship to all churches that have the marks of a true church. The more agreement there is on points of doctrine, the more trust can be had. Of course, we will likely not agree on all things- thus different denominations- but we can work hard toward a true unity with all who are truly Christians since all Christians have been given the Holy Spirit and are truly part of one body with Christ as our head. For further discussion, I would be interested in your thoughts on how my denomination works toward this unity and whether any of your churches/denominations work toward unity with others. https://opc.org/icr.html
