Some of my friends and participants in Wittenberg Door Campus Ministry are on a college athletic team. They have a really busy schedule during their sport's season. Actually, they have a really busy schedule no matter what.
Tuesday, they have an away game. It's a lot of work. They will be on the road for a couple of hours each way. They can all think of dozens of other things to do with their time and energy but that they won't be able to do as effectively.
They may be sowing in tears, with their effort. How are they going to reap with shouts of joy before God?
1) They can know that they are learning and growing in discipline and patience.
2) They can recognize the strong relationships they are building with their team and others.
3) They can learn more about how they play and respond when things go their way or not.
4) And, who knows? They can win the game, too. That's always a good outcome.
Blessings to you all, as you go forth, even sowing in tears. May you find ways to reap with shouts of joy!
