Wilson, Douglas, and Nathan D. Wilson. The Rhetoric Companion: A Student's Guide to Power in Persuasion. Moscow, Idaho: Canon, 2011.
Wilson’s The Rhetoric Companion is intended as an introduction to the disciplined use of rhetoric. In the introduction, pp. 7-9, he suggests there may be some parallels between the work of ancient and modern rhetoricians. The medium, however, is quite different. Through the course of Wilson’s text he will introduce the ideas used in antiquity but will also urge use of those ideas in a modern context.
