Greetings to all my friends! I don't usually talk about fundraising very much. It's probably my least favorite part of the work of Wittenberg Door Campus Ministry, but without it we won't get anything done. In 2017 generous supporters took care of all the basic essential expenses of this ministry, including mileage, promotional materials, and whatever was needed to provide on-site pastoral care in the academic communities of Columbia Missouri. It was operations only, meaning that there was no funding for salary, housing, or medical care.
This year we're hoping to increase our funding base so as to cover housing. The budget is therefore considerably larger.
At the start of the year we set up a new fundraising project at YouCaring because they had lower fees. However, they have been bought out by GoFundMe, who we used before. For this reason, I've moved my fundraiser to GoFundMe. I'll be posting an offline contribution equal to donations received so far this year so the numbers add up correctly ad we can all see progress.
