Our Psalm for this week proclaims the mercy of God. He is the healer, the one who provides all the world with what it needs.
In this age when social justice warriors fight for their way, the Bible speaks of a God who actually helps the oppressed. He is the one who brings justice. But that justice is according to his own terms. He’s the one who gets to define good and evil. He’s the one who gets to say what justice actually is.
Do we stand in God’s way? Then may the Lord have mercy on us and correct us. Do we promote God’s values and agenda? Then may the Lord use us for the good of this world.
