Apology to the Augsburg Confession X “Baptism” pp. 184-185.
In article 10 of the Augsburg Confession “it is taught that the true body and blood of Christ are truly present under the form of bread and wine in the Lord’s Supper and are distributed and received there” (Kolb 2000, 44). A footnote in Kolb and Wengert indicates the rejection of all views which deny the bodily presence of Jesus.
The Apology affirms that the Roman and the Greek church are in agreement. The teaching is affirmed and several Scriptures adduced as further confirmation.
